About this Role
SeaWorld San Diego has exciting opportunities for actors with great stage presence and interactive comedic skills that excel at improvisation. Actors perform in multiple high-energy shows per day to connect with our guests and create memories that last a lifetime. Many of these shows require working closely with animal trainers and trained animals to educate guests about the spectacular natural world we share.
- A variety of employment periods are available:
- Summer (March - September)
- Halloween (September - October)
- Christmas (November - December)
- You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the audition.
- Day & evening shifts are available, depending on the show.
Starting Hourly Performance Pay Rate: $25.00
Prepare for the Audition
- Prepare a one minute comedic, family-friendly monologue. Please no dramatic material.
- Practice your timing. Be sure not to rush the moments in your piece and remember that you're not just reading words... think about the emotion behind what you're saying and play the part.
- In addition to your prepared piece, you may be asked to read and learn additional material, or participate in improvisational exercises.
- Auditioning can be a lengthy process; you may be asked to stay for a callback.
- Prepare a resume and headshot, which will be retained by the audition team.
