About this Role
SeaWorld San Antonio is looking for personable, animated people with fun, outgoing personalities to bring Sesame Street® characters to life. Share the joy of entertaining children and other guests as a costumed character by greeting guests, shaking hands, posing for pictures, and giving hugs. Costumed character performers also act as a character escort to assist with guest interactions.
- We cast performers in the 4'11" to 6'1" height range.
- You must be able to perform in extreme temperatures.
- You must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Performance experience is a plus, but not required.
- A variety of employment periods are available:
- Spring (January - May)
- Summer (May - September)
- Halloween (September - October)
- Christmas (October - December)
- Day & evening shifts are available, depending on park operating hours and performances schedules.
- You must be at least 16 years old at the time of the audition.
Starting Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour
Prepare for the Audition
- Please wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows a full range of movement with athletic or jazz shoes (no jeans, please).
- Please arrive early enough to stretch and warm up before the audition begins.
- Costumed character auditions are based primarily on movement and physical coordination.
- You will be asked to learn a simple dance combination and participate in improvisational exercises.
- Prepare a resume and headshot, which will be retained by the audition team.
- We are also looking for costumed character performers that can dance. Dancer auditions are held separately from general costumed character auditions and have different requirements. Please click here for more information.
